It is possible to replace the fob battery yourself and save money. Here's how to do it begin by finding a notch or latch on the case of the key fob and then insert the tool.
Battery
Modern key fobs provide incredible convenience and functionality, but they require some attention to ensure they're working well. Over time, the battery in your key fob is likely to run out of power and will need to be replaced. You'll know when it's time to change the battery when your car becomes difficult to start, or your buttons stop functioning.
Changing the battery in your key fob is simple. Place the key fob flat on a surface and press the metal buttons until they pop open. Find the seam between the lid and base of the fob.
